This class is designed with the new sewer or the intermediate sewer in need of guidance. Learn how to read, lay-out, and cut-out a pattern. First-timers will construct a skirt with a waistband & zipper, since it can be completed within the given class time. Others may make a blouse or unlined jacket, which does require some at-home preparation. Each 8-week series is $80.00. Classes meet consecutively with the starting dates listed.

"CLONE YOURSELF" CLASS - Create your own Custom Dress Form!
How would you like a second "you" in the sewing room? RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU! Imagine finally being able to sew and fit yourself...FINALLY! Well, here's the answer: your very own dress form double class. Be professionally "taped" by our instructor and go home with a fitting buddy...YOU! Classes are by individual appointment only. (Appointments are 45 min. long and student will need to remain standing for that length of time.) Class fee: $45.00 One, 45 min. session. Please be punctual! Instructor needs a full 45 minutes to adequately complete this process.

NEW CLASS! CLONE YOURSELF II (a.k.a. "Stuff Yourself")
Pre-requisite: Clone Yourself
Need a helping hand finishing your dress form double? Whether you are covering an existing form or mounting on a frame, this class will provide the finishing touch. You will mount your "double" and then stuff it to the proper fullness. One session; choose morning class for those attaching their double to an existing dress form stand, or choose the afternoon session if you'll be creating a stand from scratch. Class fee: $30.00

"HAVE A FIT": Bodice Draping Class
Pre-requisite: "Clone Yourself" Dress Form Class
Drape your way to a perfect fit by using your dressform double as yourself! This is the follow up class that so many of you have been requesting since taking our incredibly popular "Clone Yourself" class. Learn this easy and very accurate way to fit all of your bodice needs. Make a sheath dress sloper through the draping process, without any measuring or calculating. Your sloper can then be used for many further design variations and can also be used to fit against commercial patterns (in possible future classes). ***Learn basic fit and drape of a garment ***Develop an "eye" for fit ***COME & HAVE "A FIT" WITH US!*** Class fee: $60.00 One, 8-hr. session.

EASIEST TAILORED JACKET MAKING EVER
Learn the fast way to make a jacket with lapels. This is how manufactured jackets are made by Armani, Donna Karan, and Ungaro. The latest sewing notions, interfacing and techniques are presented, as well as a revolutionary method of attaching the collar and lapel. Meets three times in a lecture/demonstration format. Students are to sew at home and bring their work to each class. Class Fee: $40.00 Three, 2-hr. sessions.

SEWING CLINIC: The Welt Pocket
By student request, we are planning to offer seminars addressing specific sewing techniques. Our "Easiest Tailored Jacket Making Ever" class touches on this pocket procedure, but this class provides hands-on sewing time and teacher supervision to successfully make the welt pocket of your dreams. Students will work on sample pockets during class. Class fee: $20.00 One, 2 1/2-hr. session.

Learn to recover an old pair of pumps with Ultrasuede. (This technique works with woven fabrics, but Ultrasuede is easiest for your first pair!) Continue your shoe covering adventures. Select a favorite old pair of sandals, or go buy a new pair that appeals to you. Bring them to our class and re-cover them using the fabric of your choice. This class is ideal for those who wish to customize their shoes for a special occasion, or just for the sheer creative joy of the process. Let our seasoned professional help you transform a pair of pumps into one-of-a-kind showstoppers. Bring pumps and your ideas (such as magazine photos or the garment you'd like to match) to an individual 15-minute consultation with Veronica on the first date listed. She will advise you regarding the supplies you'll need for the subsequent workshop. Class fee: $20.00

TIMESAVING SEWING WITH A DESIGNER TOUCH
Brush up on quick, easy, proven Palmer/Pletsch sewing techniques including a variety of zippers that require no hand-basting and perfect patch pockets. Then add a touch of couture to your sewing with easy designer details that include triangular bound button holes, foolproof corded bound buttonholes and single layer pockets. Students will sew their own samples during class; perfect for compiling a notebook of techniques for future reference. Class fee: $50.00 One, 7 1/2-hr. class.
